Chauncy Billips has just turned an ankle. There is a little over two minutes left, and the Pistons have a seven point lead. The Ducks lead 1-0 after Curtis Joseph let in a bad goal. The Ducks are playing really good and are getting great goal tending. The game is going into the second overtime. The Wings got a power play in the first overtime, so I am expecting a penalty to be called on them during the second won. Is Kansas that good, or Marquette that bad? I think it will be a close game. Kansas may have a little bit too much team speed for Syracuse, so I'll go with the Jayawks, but I am really impressed with Carmelo Anthony.

It's over. Syracuse wins 95-84. Monday night pits Kansas against Syracuse. Jim Beheim against Roy Williams, both looking for their first NCAA title. That pits a #2 seed against a #3 seed. Carmelo Anthony is awesome.

Texas comes back down the court. Texas needs a stop on this posession. Texas fouls McNamara for Syracuse, McNamara is a good free throw shooter. Syracuse is getting away from their game by trying to work time off the clock. A little bit of the ole four corners from the Dean Smith days at North Carolina. But they aren't getting any points, so they might be opening the door for Texas. There is four minutes left. Orangemen up by seven.

I think it's over. You got to love the way Tom Izzo gets his team up for the tournament. All year they have been saying that Michgan State has not been playing up to their potential, and that they are a very talented team. They are young, and momentum plays big in tournaments like these. Plus, they played some big games against Kentucky and Oklahoma, and that has given the team a lot of confidence. State could go far in this tourney.

State is up by ten, 37-27 at the half. Just one of those nights I guess. It didn't help to have six straight penalties called against you. Almost as if the refs saw the last gam against St. Louis and decided they had to call it tight in order for the Ducks to have a chance. The refs wouldn't do that, would they?I wonder if the Wings will be able to pick up a player by the trade deadline.
